This Cookie Policy explains how Visit Group AB („BookVisit“, „we“, „us“), Packhusplatsen 2, 411 13 Gothenburg, Sweden, uses cookies and similar technologies on bookvisit.com, and what choices you have.
We are the data controller for the personal data processed through these cookies. For anything not covered here, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Cookies let a site remember your actions and preferences, and let us and our partners understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as pixels and local storage; where we say „cookies“ below, we mean all of these.
2. Your consent
We only place cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work without asking you first. All other cookies – statistics, preferences and marketing – are placed only after you have given consent through our cookie banner.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future, using the link below. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
If you decline, no statistics or marketing cookies are set, and the third-party scripts that would place them are blocked before they load.
3. Categories we use
| Category | What it does | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Functional (always active) | Needed for the site to work: remembering your language and your cookie choices. | Strictly necessary – no consent required (ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3)); legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. |

| Statistics | Helps us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. | Consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. |

5. Google Consent Mode
We use Google Tag Manager to load the services above. Before you make a choice, Google Consent Mode is set to denied for analytics and advertising storage, which means Google services do not read or write cookies and receive only anonymous, cookieless signals. Your choice in the banner updates this state.
6. Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Some of the providers listed above are established in, or transfer data to, the United States (Google, Microsoft, Meta, LinkedIn, HubSpot). Where that happens, the transfer is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and/or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses together with supplementary measures. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards from us using the contact details below.
7. Controlling cookies in your browser
Independently of our banner, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking functional cookies may stop parts of the website from working. Instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
8. Your rights
Where cookies process personal data about you, you have the right to access, rectify and erase that data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Sweden, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), imy.se.
